A quiet walk together as the sun goes down,
a tight hug from someone who you love,
the table full of laughter when an old story is shared,
or the vibes on the dance floor when no one is thinking about the camera anymore.

Anna and Max’s day was full of those kinds of moments — the kind that happen naturally when you’re simply present with the people around you.

Meaningful connection, intentionally preserved.

I’m so excited to share new branding and a new website for Kara Marie Photography.

Throughout this entire process, I kept coming back to what matters most to me as a photographer: presence.

That perspective has been shaped, in part, by my grandparents’ wedding photos. Even decades later, you can sense how immersed they were in the moment.

The locket represents the idea of preserving connection for generations. And if you know me personally, you know how much I love flowers. They are a reminder to slow down, notice what’s around me, and be mindful both in my personal life and as a photographer.

My new website is live, and it feels like a true reflection of my work and the experience I want clients to have.

I could not be more thankful to Lauryn for bringing my vision to life with so much intention and care 🤍

Looking back on 2025 with a lot of gratitude.

To the clients who trusted me with their memories, thank you. What began as a childhood dream continues to grow, and I don’t take that lightly. Getting to witness and document your love means so much to me.

2025 was also the year I became a bride. Experiencing a wedding from this perspective showed me how much presence truly matters. It continues to shape how I show up for my couples and how I approach photography — your presence and human connection always comes first.

I’m officially headed into the 2025 wedding season this weekend!

This year is especially meaningful (and a bit chaotic) since I’ll be planning my own wedding while documenting so many others. Just as things started ramping up, I found a scrapbook I made for a middle school project. Reading the words I wrote at 13 reminded me that this job was once just a dream. (And apparently, having 6 kids was, too!? 😂)

To every client who’s trusted me with photographing their memories: you’ve helped bring my dream to life. In the middle of the chaos, that reminder means everything.
