A couple of weeks ago, I had just wrapped up a photo session when I noticed a gaggle of ladies outside my studio.

Naturally, I was curious.

Turns out, they were celebrating a birthday! They had all gotten dressed up for a permanent jewelry appointment, but their plans had fallen through.

So I offered to do a quick photo session instead.

They jumped at the chance, and what started as a disappointing change of plans turned into something pretty special.

I’ve always believed that some of the best moments in life happen when we slow down, get curious, and look for opportunities to make someone else’s day a little better.

Lead with curiosity. Look for ways to serve others. You never know what doors might open or whose day you might change.

And sometimes, all it takes is asking a question.
