Hello Friends,
I'm excited to share that after two years of writing, my photography book is finally complete and available on Amazon! Still a few more from NM. The hoodoos were sunstar paradise!

I was saddened to discover that a beautiful pair of hoodoos I'd become accustomed to visiting in NM over the years no longer exists. According to somebody familiar with the area, one was apparently kicked over and not a victim of natural erosion. Preventing crowds from visiting natural areas all at once is specifically why I'm vague with locations. Comically, photographers who don't readily divulge locations are derogatorily called "gatekeepers." Though this act of vandalism might have inevitably occurred, I think at this point, there's no denying that social media is having an overall negative effect on nature. At least somebody was kind enough to cover the decapitated spire with a rock.

Comet A3 above the Horsetooth Reservoir and Arthur's Rock in Fort Collins. To preserve the size of celestial objects like this you can get way back from the landscape and zoom in, rather than a wide-angle shot.

Just wrapped up my Bisti Badlands photo workshop with this kind, talented and interesting group. You can go to Mars, or live out the same experience in this hauntingly beautiful region. We photographed an unexpected aurora, star trails, sunstars and alien rock formations.
