TOP NINES OF 2025✨film version.

this past year, we started delivering film photos for each of our couples and it was my favorite part of this wedding season. collecting treasured snapshots from the day on my grandpa’s vintage camera, then getting to see what we captured for the first time weeks later; what a gift to share this with newlyweds.

i’m not gonna lie, 2025 stretched me to new limits i didn’t know if i could accomplish. after giving birth at the end of june, alan shot a wedding one week later which i edited as my newborn slept on my chest. with a one month old, i began a stacked busy season through the end of the year.

i shot and edited after sleepless nights. i showed up for every single one of my clients with my full capacity even though on the inside i was being fully wrecked and rebuilt. alan kept the show going behind the scenes by caring for noah every single day.

and now at last, i’m able to slip into the hygge season and be fully present for noah as he grows and i recover from the craziest season of my life.

thank you to every single client who trusted us to bring our all despite being in the newborn season, and likewise for extending us grace when we were stretched thin. i’m coming out of this year even more grateful to have a job i’m insanely in love with, and even more passionate about.

the year is 2016.

I had just graduated college at Colorado State a semester early, so and I planned a trip with three other creative friends to collaborate on shoots all over Iceland. the world felt so whimsical and like no disaster or failure could bring us down. I remember coming home from this trip with negative money to my name but I literally wasn’t phased lol. oh to be 22. I have never laughed harder in my life or made more memories of a lifetime than this trip and that’s all that mattered!

I also jumped off the deep end with trying to make a name for myself and build a successful photography business—peep the very professional homemade logo! I remember feeling super proud of it all and in wonder of all the possibilities to come.

2016 was also when I landed a job creating a photo story for a documentary team in India—that felt like one of the closest things to a dream come true to me at the time. it laid the groundwork for so much of my photojournalism passion.

Alan and I were freshly dating and having so much fun in a romantic relationship finally after years of being friends. He had no intention of being a photographer—yet 🤭

this year was huge for me!!!! looking back it is insane this was ONLY ten years ago!! what a ride it has been! always trust the process ✨✨
