I’m beyond excited for my dear friend Hayley and her love as they prepare to welcome their first baby into the world! We met through Instagram in 2020 and instantly bonded over film photography. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing her branding and personal portraits, and her own creativity has inspired my work. As much as I hate social media sometimes, I am so grateful for the connections I’ve been able to make through it.

Hayley ( ) is the creative genius behind my own branding and website. Her eye for detail and beautiful, timeless design is everything.

Wardrobe coordination doesn’t have to mean matching — it actually looks better when it doesn’t!

Instead, think in terms of a simple color palette. A few tones that feel connected without being identical.

The goal is for everything to work together in the same frame, not for everyone to wear the same thing.

Comfort matters just as much as color. If your kid is tugging at their shirt the whole session, it shows. If they feel good in what they’re wearing, that shows too.

A couple things that help:
– Choose outfits you can move in (we’ll likely be walking, playing, chasing light)
– Bring a blanket that fits the palette — it adds texture and gives us a natural spot to sit or snuggle
– And if you’re unsure, send me a photo. I’m always happy to weigh in.

The session that’s often overlooked (but really shouldn’t be) — the 6 month / sitter stage.

Truly, this is such a sweet spot. Your baby is beautifully round and squishy, full of personality, all cheeks and belly and dimpled legs. They’re interactive, curious, and giving you the best expressions… but not quite on the move yet. (We love a stationary baby. 😅😉)

This session with Salem + Blaine will always be a favorite.
