Today I lost my grandfather. But he was more than just a grandfather to me. This man helped raise my brother and I during rocky times in our childhood, helped mold me into the man I am today. This is the man that I looked up to since I was a little boy, not because he was perfect, but because he showed that he wanted to do good despite the many flaws he had. Today I lost my Papa.

Today we lost a great man, but I will forever hold the memories and lessons he gifted my brother and I.

Last weekend I had the blessing of visiting him and doing a final photoshoot and a last video for the family. I didn't think I would have to put it all together so soon, but here we are. Maybe it was God's timing and blessing that he allowed me to see him and spend quality time with him one last time. He had an amazing weekend, but as I said my goodbyes and headed back home, I saw in his eyes that he was content and at peace, a part of me knew that he was done fighting the battle of cancer. The family is broken and hurt. But I honor him by remaining strong for my family, because I will always be his Little Bear. ᎬᎨᏳᎢ Papa, I hope to continue to make you proud.

Went to San Antonio a few weeks ago. We had a good time, it felt good being in a very walkable city with a camera in hand.

New Blog: So... I Went To Alaska
