Something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately: how much Instagram has changed.
A few years ago, great headshots and brand photos were enough to build your presence. Now? Reels dominate the platform.
The numbers tell the story: Reels get 2.25x more reach than static photos and users spend 50% of their time on Instagram watching them.
That doesn’t mean professional photos aren’t essential anymore (they absolutely are). But if you’re investing in your personal brand and showing up on Instagram, video is becoming just as important.
Which is why I’ve started offering video content alongside traditional brand photography sessions.
Not because everyone needs it, but because the clients who are serious about their online presence deserve to know it’s an option.
