"No matter how many mistakes you make or how slow you progress, you are still way ahead of everyone who isnβt trying." Tony Robbins
I like this sentiment when those annoying comparison thoughts creep in or I start thinking I've not progressed to the point where I should be. My past doesn't matter, my current situation doesn't matter, what matters is I keep grinding toward a goal.
I believe humans are hard-wired to "work" to "expand" and the moment we stop trying to grow as an individual, well that's when problems start. I've seen the negative effects of "giving up" on too many people for this not to be true. We are rewarded for continually trying to improve, even into old age, even if we're sick, disabled, rich, poor, or disadvantaged. No matter how small the goal is, or how slow you progress, or how many mistakes you make, the universe wants to see you succeed, but it needs something to work with first. So push through and put in the work. β€βπ
