When during busy season every time someone asks if I have plans.

In the spring and fall, it's not a wedding, it's an engagement shoot, proposal, maternity or family shoot pretty much every single weekend. I honestly wouldn't have it any other way!

A different take on the courthouse ceremony with Erin and Miles

Since they were having their official wedding ceremony in Mexico, they had their legal ceremony with me at the lovely Tarrant County Courthouse. I fully expected a traditional indoor ceremony, but was pleasantly surprised when they said they had their own officiant and wanted to get married on the scenic steps outside. They got to have a more personalized ceremony, and their loved ones got to be front and center for it, not to mention they had a stunning backdrop. This was such a fun and beautiful twist!

Even when I'm second shooting, I am STRESSING.

I wouldn't even call it anxiety, I just absolutely love what I do and want both the photographer and the couple to have the absolute best, so I am constantly thinking about what I can do to make that happen. It always helps when you're second shooting for someone like who trusts your vision and that you know what you're doing. That kind of faith honestly makes me want to work even harder!

Here's why I focus on hands and not just faces: They're one of our biggest points of connection.

We use them to reach for one another, hold one another, write, gift, and receive. We shake them, caress with them, kiss them, communicate with them. Touch is a love language for a reason, and so much is said with our hands. In the moment, you may just see two hands, but I see adoration, gentleness, and closeness. That's why you shouldn't be surprised to see close ups of your hands in your gallery from me!

Nearly a year later and still not over this day!

Last summer, Kylie and Brady's wedding included so many unique personal touches, including a handmade dish for their cake cutting, a plate wall for their seating chart, a vase with their pets' faces carved into it. It was one of the hottest, and most memorable days that year!

While we may be based in DFW, let this be your sign that we'll travel anywhere to bring your big day to life!

Proof that a rainy wedding day doesn't have to be a gloomy one!

Breanna and William's wedding was full of so much prayer, intention, and joy, that you would never have guessed it was freezing and pouring rain if you didn't see it. You may not get to pick the weather on your big day, but you do get to choose how you respond it, and these two were definition of making lemonade from lemons!

An extra special moment for our friends Kayla and May who just welcomed their sweet son into the world this week. It's an honor to capture all love, but especially the love between a mother and their child, and that was definitely felt during this maternity shoot.
