Sometimes, you just have to wait out the storm.

We got to the location and it was pouring, full on lightening and thunder. A true summer storm with nothing showing up on the radar until it was already there.

I had driven about an hour and a half to get to the location and so did Dublin & Lexy. We were messaging each other in our cars and decided to wait it out.

There was a small break in the rain with just a slight drizzle and I had an umbrella, so Lexy’s incredible boyfriend held the umbrella over me and my camera as I got shots of Dublin.

And man, how everything just came together so perfectly. From the rainbow, to the lighting, to the lavender, and the drizzle we still had. It ended up being one of my favorite shoots.

Lesson learned: sometimes you have to wait a little bit to get to the best moments.

Life is unbelievably more colorful with them in it

I know we are all ready for fall…. BUT I have a few more absolutely stunning summer shoots to post and still photograph coming up!

When Amanda said she was thinking about Louie to her next shoot, I was as so excited and Louie did not disappoint! He was such a model and was so cool, calm, and collected.

Amanda is so fun and sweet, Clarke was a gem (per usual), and adding in Louie was just the perfect addition to the photos.

Include a stunning sunset and sunflowers in full bloom, and I’ll never be over this shoot, ever.

Happy National Dog Day!

We celebrate every single dog.

Breeder-bred, rescue, mixed breed, purebred. Adventure dogs and professional couch potatoes. Big, small, shy, confident, reactive, goofy, trained, or still figuring it out.

Every dog has their own story, their own quirks, and their own way of being part of the family — and I’m here for all of it.

Always For-Ever After

Never end of life

These sessions are full of tons of emotions. Gibson wasn’t any different. During these sessions, I hear the most stories about your pets and how they’ve influenced your life, got yall through hard times, we’re there to celebrate the best, and are the center of your family.

I am continually amazed by how much our pets truly change our lives and with each story I am told, it reinforces the knowledge that they are placed here for us for a purpose and that is incredibly beautiful.

I want you all to know that it doesn’t end here. I am sure of it. I’ve been in your shoes. I’ve cried those tears. It’s something that I can’t explain to you but I know it’s fact.

Until you reunite with them, I am honored to capture some stills you can cherish.

Lucas and the most stunning mother and daughter duo.

The day before our shoot date, Lilly messaged me and asked if she could bring her mom to the photoshoot. Of course, I said yes and wow. Can we just take moment for the authenticity having her mom there brought to these photos?

They both adore Lucas, as is evident in these stills. Lucas adores them and the water, also evident in these photos.

Just look at all the fun, love, and joy.

Y’all keep on bringing the authenticity and I’ll keep capturing it.

At your service

I’ve had the incredible opportunity to photograph a couple of service dogs and their partners. It has completely changed my perspective on what I thought the relationship would be.

They are still very much so family, they are loved, they get to play, they bring joy and laughter, they’re fun and silly, they have unique personalities, & they get to be dogs.

But, when that vest goes on they get to open up the world in so many ways for their person. Maybe they make it more accessible, or maybe less scary, or maybe they allow them to simply enjoy restaurants with friends, or they could literally save their life with health detection efforts. Whatever their service may be, they allow their person to navigate the world in a way they maybe couldn’t have before.

I will forever be in awe of what these animals can do and am honored to capture these special bonds we have with them.
