Hey friends 💛 It’s been a minute since I’ve shared a biz update here, so I wanted to catch you up a little. Life, y’all, is hectic.
Summer is usually a slower season for photography, but June turned out to be busier than expected — and I’m so grateful for that. I’m also about six months into this new chapter as a postpartum doula, and it’s been such a joy to support families during those early, tender days, but balancing all these and managing to post here, is challenging. Props to all the business owners who are able to show up in this space consistently.
Lately, I’ve had the honor of photographing a few of the families I’m also supporting as a postpartum doula, and it’s been such a joy to combine both of these passions.
Being able to not only support families during this sacred season, but also document it with meaningful keepsakes, feels incredibly special.
You can check out my website for discounted packages that include both photography and doula care — and feel free to share with a friend who might benefit from one or both of these services. 🤍
A couple quick updates:
- My session pricing will go up on August 15 — it’s been a few years since I raised rates, so this is just a small shift to reflect time, costs, and growth. My fall calendar is ready for booking so if you’re looking for a session before the end of the year, now is the time!
- While I am still taking all types of sessions, I am prioritizing maternity newborn, and young family sessions. I’m feeling drawn in this direction. I am also prioritizing documentary and storytelling sessions over portrait work. My time is a little more limited since I have taken on doula work so I may be a little more choosey with what I’m able to take on this season.
- Mini session info will be out by mid-August, if you have any requests for offerings this year, now is the time to get in my ear!
📩 You can send session inquiries or read more about my photography services or postpartum support through my website — link’s in bio.
Thanks for being here — truly. Whether I’m holding a camera or holding a baby, I’m so grateful for the families who trust me to be a small part of their story.
