A THEN (NOV 2013) and NOW (MAY 2026)!!!! Photographing high school senior portraits for Alex (6 years old back in 2013) gave me an opportunity to try this THEN AND NOW posing idea I've wanted to do for a long time! I am impressed that Claudia, his mom, has hardly aged! I had SO MUCH FUN recreating this image! Can you tell I love what I do?

This is one of my FAVORITE clients ever, the Balfours. They are an amazing family of 5--twin boys and a younger daughter. Mom (Yvonne) recently posted this comment to her page and I wanted to share it because it really highlights the importance of capturing these fleeting moments in childhood.... "Once a year I make it happen, family photos, despite anything. It causes me anxiety, strange right?! But, I know my boys might not be okay with it. It may cause them too much anxiety, then I get anxious. But then Michelle pulls off a miracle and I have my forever memory. My art that hangs on my walls that will forever lock these memories in time. I cherish EVERY photo. I know when I am old and grey and I have these photos they will bring me so much joy."
