I recently stopped by a music shop and couldn't resist picking up this sleek Ibanez nylon-string guitar. Music has always been a powerful source of inspiration for me, and there is something so grounding about holding a well-crafted instrument and exploring its tones.

Great workshops are about the concepts we learn inside and the creative community we connect with outside! ♻️📸🤠

My good friend and fellow photographer, Tim Passaro (), was the one who invited me to Miguel Novelo's e-waste workshop at ICA San José. Tim is absolutely fantastic at embracing challenges, connecting with people, and making incredible images. His use of color in his urban and concept photography is beyond great, and it is always an absolute pleasure to witness him in his element creating art.

We stepped out onto the sidewalk to talk shop, watch him work his craft, and share some quick mobile previews right there on the street. Having spent two years pursuing an Electronic Computer Engineering path before jumping into photography full time, seeing technology, creative community, and passionate creators intersect in downtown San José felt incredibly familiar and motivating.

Celebrating Father's Day means changing it up and enjoying every moment with the family! 🪁♟️

Whether we are flying kites at sunset, enjoying a BBQ, or battling it out in an epic family chess match (my mom and daughter teaming up against my dad and nephew!), we love to dive into whatever fun activities come to mind. You are never too old to play; just look at my mom climbing on the playground!

Capturing these candid mobile moments with my daughter, nephew, and parents reminds me of our desire to freeze time with photos. That same focus on authentic storytelling and genuine human connection is exactly what drives my professional work.

Poolside relaxation and a little mobile photography practice! ☀️📸

Last June, my daughter and I had some wonderful opportunities to hang out and relax by the pool. Naturally, I always have to pull out my camera when I spot a cool angle or a beautiful, candid moment. The cellphone is an incredible tool to practice our craft wherever we go. As I tell the cellphone photography students I teach at Avenidas and the College of Adaptive Arts, "the more photos we take, the better we get."

Seeing old electronics take on a brand new function brings back some incredibly familiar feelings! ♻️🤖

Recently, I attended a fascinating workshop by Miguel Novelo on e-waste, digital ghosts, and data loss, where we explored ways to transform old screens and discarded devices into art. Naturally, I pulled out my cellphone to capture the experience.

Before moving to the Bay Area, I was pursuing an Electronic Computer Engineering path, and I was always drawn to robotics and automation. Stepping into this workshop and watching these circuit boards and components shift from junk into creative art felt deeply nostalgic. It was a powerful reminder of ideas and concepts I used to look into, and it really sparked a desire in me to explore these themes a bit more again.
