1 in 3 was me
for those who don’t know me personally, in june i was diagnosed with stage 1a cervical cancer. as a freshly (as of 5 days) 25 year old, this flipped my whole world upside down. i was incredibly lucky to have surgery just a few weeks later to remove said cancer and am now cancer-free. this makes daffodil day something incredibly dear to me. i was incredibly lucky to have been diagnosed at a stage where the only treatment required was surgery, but nonetheless, it was cancer. for others, this is not something found so early.
please make a donate to the cancer society, no matter how big or small. donations are put towards supporting those undergoing treatment including transporting to and from treatment, further researching cancers and their treatments, referrals to specialists, accommodation costs and helplines. any donation is greatly appreciated by all those affected by this terrible disease.
