Dad deserves to be in the memories too. ❤️

There’s something pretty special about the relationship between a dad and his children.

The jokes only they understand.
The wrestling on the floor.
The adventures.
The cuddles.
The way they look at each other.

These are the moments I want to capture - not just everyone looking at the camera, but the connection between them.

For Father’s Day, I’m bringing back one of my very limited social media offers.

$95 FAMILY SESSION

This includes:

✨ A planning appointment
✨ Approx. 1-hour family session within Palmerston North boundaries
✨ An enlargement of your choice
✨ $300 credit towards additional products

A total value of $895 for just $95.

I only offer something like this 2-3 times a year, so if you’ve been thinking about getting photographs of Dad with his children, don’t wait for the next one.

Because dads need memories too. And children need photographs of their dad. ❤️

📩 DM me DAD and I’ll send you the details.

School-age children are such a special stage to photograph.

You’ve got those big five-year-old personalities right through to the almost-teenagers at 11 and 12, and so much changes during those years.

They’re developing their own personalities. They’re discovering what they love. They’re finding their hobbies and becoming more independent.

Maybe she’s a dancer and wants to wear her favourite dance outfit.

Maybe he’s a sports kid and wants to bring his rugby ball.

Maybe they’re a total bookworm and would happily spend the afternoon with their favourite book.

Or maybe they’re happiest riding their bike along the river.

I want those things to be part of their photographs.

A family session doesn’t have to mean everyone wearing nice clothes and all looking at the camera.

We can take the session into the studio, head outdoors, bring along the things they love and let their personalities be part of the story.

Because while you’re watching your children grow, your family dynamics is growing and changing too.

And these years go incredibly quickly.

The little five-year-old becomes eight.
Eight becomes twelve.
And before you know it, they’re teenagers.

So let’s capture not just how big they’re getting, but who they’re becoming. 🤍

School age children, they’re growing up! And suddenly, they’re not so little anymore. 🤍

From those big five-year-old personalities through to the almost-teenagers at 11 and 12, these years are full of change.

They’re discovering what they love, developing their own personalities and becoming more and more themselves.

Maybe she’s happiest in her dance gear.
Maybe he’s never without a rugby ball.
Maybe they’re a bookworm who’d rather be curled up with a favourite book.
Or perhaps they’re happiest on two wheels, racing along the river.

These things are part of who they are right now - so why not bring them into their photographs?

A studio session could include their dance outfit, their favourite book or simply give them space to show their personality.

An outdoor session might take us to the river with their bikes, onto the grass with a rugby ball, or somewhere they love to explore.

And it’s not just about photographing the kids as they grow.

Your family is growing and changing too.

The way they interact with each other, the things they love, their personalities and the little details that make this stage of family life yours.

Because they won’t be five, eight or twelve forever.

Let’s capture who they are while they’re here. 🤍

🌼 Daffodil Day 🌼

Today my thoughts are with everyone who is currently going through their own cancer journey, and with the families, friends and loved ones walking alongside them.

For those facing the uncertainty, the tough days, the good days and everything in between - sending love, strength and hope.

And for those supporting someone they love, your presence, kindness and care mean more than you may ever know. 💛

Here’s to hope, brighter days and a little more light shining through. 🌼

Fur Babies 🐾

They have a favourite spot on the couch.
They know exactly when dinner is being served.
They greet us like we’ve been gone for years, even if it’s only been five minutes.

They are there for the everyday moments, the adventures, the chaos, the cuddles and the quiet moments in between.

So when we’re talking about family photos, why would they be left out?

Your dog is part of your family - and they deserve to be in the photographs too. 🐶❤️

I love including dogs in family sessions. We can play, walk, cuddle, throw a ball, let them be exactly who they are.

Because years from now, you won’t just want to remember what your children looked like.

You’ll want to remember who was there beside them.

Happy International Dog Day to all the very good boys, very good girls and wonderfully chaotic members of our families. 🐾

And yes... dogs are always welcome at my family sessions. ❤️

Fur babies at family sessions 🐾

Your dog isn’t “just the dog”.

They’re part of the family.

They’re there for the cuddles.
The walks.
The chaos.
The celebrations.
The everyday stuff.

So they belong in your family photos too. ❤️

Family sessions don’t have to mean everyone standing still and smiling at the camera.

Bring your dog.

We’ll play.
We’ll cuddle.
We’ll laugh.
And we’ll capture the relationship between all of you.

Because one day, you’ll look back at these photographs and remember...

they were there too. 🐾❤️

Preschoolers are such a fun age to photograph because their personalities are really starting to come through.

And they can be so completely different from one another.

You might have a really strong personality who knows exactly what they want, has plenty of opinions and isn’t afraid to tell you about them!

Or you might have a very shy little one who wants to hang back and watch what’s happening before they’re ready to join in.

And either is absolutely fine, We accommodate who they are.

The session is about interaction and fun. We’re playing, we’re exploring, we’re connecting, we’re laughing - and sometimes we’re just taking a moment to watch what’s going on.

I’m not asking your preschooler to stand still and smile at the camera for an hour.

I’m creating an environment where they can relax and be themselves, and then I’m watching for those little moments that capture their personality.

Because that’s what I want you to remember - not how well they behaved, but who they were. ❤️

Preschoolers are at such a fun stage. 🤍

Their little personalities are really starting to shine through - and that can look very different from child to child.

Some are confident, loud and very set in their ways of how the session should unfold 🌼
Some are quietly watching everything from the sidelines 🌸
Some want to be right in the middle of the action.
And others need a little more time before they’re ready to join in.

There is no “right” way for your preschooler to be during your family session.

We create space for their personality to come through, whatever that looks like.

My sessions aren’t about standing still and smiling at the camera. They’re about interaction and fun - connection, exploring, cuddling, laughing and giving your children opportunities to simply be themselves.

And while we’re doing all of that, I’m watching for those little moments that tell me exactly who your little one is right now.

Because I don’t want you to remember the child who managed to behave for the camera.

When you look back at these images I want you to remember that beautiful personality that is unfolding and growing🤍
