Not sure what I love more, getting to photograph or being an actual fan of the product! The circa 90's trend of denim and white in photographs is having the hugest return, and I am so here for it! It's casual and cohesive, and it looks so great in my natural-light studio. Don't overthink it - your portraits are about you and the connection with your babies, so clothing kept simple and understated is always a great choice! x

So. I had some thoughts last night. TIME is the reason that I have a job. Clients don't book photographers because they want a nice photo. They book because somewhere inside they know that this moment won't come back. Time does not go backwards... it is always charging forward. RELENTLESSLY! I'm not selling photos of your milestones and your family. I'm selling the PROOF that this version of your life existed. I have so many people come for newborn photos and say they wished they had maternity photos. I have parents who are having their very first family photos with their 11-year-old children! Exist in photos for yourself, for your babies and for the proof that you were there, and this was a version of your life that was real 🥰

I had so much fun with the stunning ladies at The Hair Lab & Co when we updated their headshots and branding images a few weeks ago. They came prepared with all the things to show their individual roles and strengths as part of their team. We smashed out so many cute shots of them in under 30 mins, and I love the understated cool but friendly vibe!

✨Welcome to the world, sweet Baby Harvey ✨

I have quite literally lost count of the amount of times I've photographed this beautiful family! Engagement escapades in a forest and a stunning wedding set amongst the orchard trees, their first romantic maternity session at sunset on the beach to a riverside frolic for pregnancy number 2. All their squishy newborns and other milestones along the way, capturing their family as it has evolved and grown and my gosh, what a wonderful thing, to not only witness, but to be asked to document every little change along the way. It is my absolute honour to be asked back again and again, beyond grateful that I get to serve my forever families x

I first met Katie-Rose as a bride-to-be. I photographed her marrying her beau on the shores of Lake Taupō, 8 years ago.

Then she came back to me with a wee bun in the oven and again when bebe number 2 was on the way, and she had the sweetest toddler in tow. I've photographed her whole family unit several times along the way, her extended family, other family units, all related to Katie-Rose, who discovered me because of her. At the end of last year, this magical woman came back with her boy gang — three little lads who have no idea yet just how lucky they are to have her as their mama, or how many of their parents' biggest moments I've had the privilege of photographing.

This is why I do what I do. Not just to make beautiful memories infinite for you, but to be trusted, again and again, with the seasons that we wish could last forever.

Katie-Rose, THANK YOU for always coming back and for being the beautiful, incredible soul you are.
