I photograph a lot of weddings across Yorkshire, but I absolutely love travelling for days like this.

Newburgh Priory at its absolute best.

I’ve photographed so many brilliant celebrations here over the years and it remains one of those places where everything just works - the house, gardens, marquee, light and that incredible view across the lake.

Jess & Joss filled it with exactly what it needed: a fantastic bunch of people and one hell of a party.

There are very few wedding settings where you have to think about scale quite like this.

York Minster is extraordinary, but the challenge isn’t simply to photograph the building beautifully. It’s to make photographs which show where you were without losing sight of who the day was actually about.

That North Yorkshire coast doing its thing!

Nicole & Perry at Grand Villa Heights - huge views, slightly ridiculous wind and an absolutely brilliant crowd of people.

I love weddings where the location has real character, but even with that coastline outside the door, it’s still the people and atmosphere that make the pictures.

Always a pleasure to be back at Middleton Lodge.

After photographing more than 50 weddings across the estate since 2018, it’s somewhere I know incredibly well but that familiarity should never mean making the same photographs again and again.

The setting is beautiful, obviously. The important bit is knowing it well enough to work quickly, instinctively and then get back to what actually matters: the people and everything happening around them.

One of my absolute favourites.

Lucy & Chris married at the historic Bolton Priory, followed by celebrations at Tithe Barn - with one of the best journeys between ceremony and reception! The whole wedding party walked from the Priory to Tithe Barn in procession, led by the brilliant Dizzy Brasscals brass band 🎺

Yorkshire countryside, live brass, a very happy crowd and an absolutely brilliant atmosphere from start to finish.
