Who loves pears?
I'm a fan, anyway spotting this lovely pear growing at Beningbrough Hall today, they have many varieties, the colours are really coming through now we’re into September. The soft blush on the skin and the fresh droplets on the leaves show just how well everything’s doing after this record‑breaking Yorkshire weather. A simple moment, but a beautiful one.

Friday at last, although that's another week gone and this week the day has shortened by 28 minutes & 50 seconds. Pretty depressing but here is a composite I made a couple of years ago to cheer you up!

A flock of birds sweeping across the evening sky, their silhouettes sharp against the fading light. The horizon glows with warm orange and gold, melting upward into deep blue, creating that perfect transition you only get in the morning or evening (and you all know I love a good sunrise or sunset!)

There’s a sense of freedom in the way the birds move, almost as if they’re riding the last breath of daylight. The whole scene feels peaceful yet alive, a reminder of how nature can be both still and full of movement at the same time.

It's made from one photograph and layered over at several intervals to create the sense of movement.
