Timbers, Tide and Steel.

The old groynes may be slowly disappearing into the sand, but they still provide the perfect lead towards Steetley Pier. Under a clear blue North East sky, this peaceful coastal scene combines the textures of weathered timber, gentle waves and the industrial landmark that has watched over the shoreline for generations.

A North Pennines Landmark.

The Allendale Chimney rises above the heather covered moorland, overlooking the rolling countryside of the North Pennines. Built during the lead mining era, it remains an important part of the region's industrial heritage and is now a popular destination for walkers and photographers alike.

Weardale's Hidden Cascade.

Nestled in the heart of Weardale, this tranquil waterfall on Rookhope Burn offers a quiet corner where nature takes centre stage. Water tumbles gracefully over the old stone weir into the still pool below before weaving its way through the rocky stream, framed by rich woodland and vibrant greenery.

Purple Hues by the Pier.

A splash of vibrant purple transforms an already familiar view into something a little different. Framed by colourful coastal planting, Roker Pier and its iconic lighthouse stand proudly against a calm blue sky, while gentle waves roll onto the shoreline below. A peaceful summer scene from Our City by the Sea.

Sun, Sea and a Suntan in "Our City by the Sea"

With the sea sparkling ahead and the lighthouse keeping watch in the distance, this seemed like the ideal place to put my camera down for five minutes. Just another glorious day soaking up the sunshine in Our City by the Sea, where the biggest decision is whether to take another photograph or simply enjoy the view.

Nature's Staircase.

Hidden within the peaceful valley of Rookhope Burn, this picturesque cascade offers a moment of calm in the heart of the North Pennines. Captured with a long exposure, the flowing water is transformed into silky ribbons as it tumbles over the weathered stone ledges, contrasting beautifully with the surrounding moss covered rocks and lush woodland.

Weardale's industrial past.

Standing proudly against the vast North Pennines sky, the headgear at Groverake Mine is one of the region's most recognisable mining landmarks. Once a hive of activity extracting lead and fluorspar, it now stands silent, with nature gradually reclaiming the landscape around it.

Calm Beyond the Tide - Saltburn Pier.

The minimalist composition, muted colours and gentle light create a calm, timeless view of this much loved Victorian landmark. Here's wishing you all a fabulous weekend ahead, wherever you may be in the world.

Lift to Town.

One of Saltburn's most recognisable landmarks, the historic Cliff Lift links the seafront with the town above. Framed by the distinctive Victorian station building and the twin red-and-white carriages climbing the steep hillside, this image captures a piece of engineering that has been carrying visitors between beach and promenade for well over a century.

Saltburn's Colourful Promenade.

A walk along Saltburn's promenade is hard to forget, especially with its famous row of brightly painted beach huts stretching into the distance. Framed by a moody sky and the sweeping coastline, it's a scene that captures the character and charm of this much loved North Yorkshire seaside town.
