For 15 years I've loved taking family photos. Never thinking my work could be more fulfilling. Every family different. Every location, every home I visit, the seasons ever changing. No two weeks the same. Never gets boring.
However.
When I get a new idea I come alive. And this one has me feeling powerful 💥
I'm calling it Raw Beauty, it's photoshoots for womxn (that's not a spelling mistake. look it up)
The whole reason behind it is to make people fall in love with themselves, by being shown how they look through the eyes of someone else. Someone who sees a lot of beauty in people just as they are, and happens to be pretty good with a camera 📷
How many women feel poorly about their bodies or how they look in general? But have you SEEN women? Stunning. Every one of them.
I am having the most genuine, deeply enriching experiences on these shoots. The women are all incredibly beautiful and strong, and able to let themselves be vulnerable with me. Not only in the act of stripping off their clothes, but their insecurities and traumas as well.
I continue to be moved, humbled and honoured by these amazing beings, stronger than miracles yet living in a completely ordinary existence.
