A Portrait of my friend Shira.

She kindly gave up her time on a few occasions for me to experiment and play in the studio. Thank you Shira.

Lit with a & Video Speedlite with a bit of black gaff tape used to flag the light off Shira. The light was also zoomed to narrow the beam like a grid would do.

The modifier ultimately was a mottled glass tiled vase.

It's fun to play with light when you can. It informs, challenges and also changes thought process.. I should do it more.

Checking the archives this evening for a post in my Facebook Group I came across this portrait of friend Donna Rhian Lloyd who modelled at a few of my studio workshops and events over the years.

Simple one light setup with a PIXAPRO 30x140 Strip Box (Gridded)o that had it's cooling flap left open which let light out and also acted as a small reflector throwing the pattern of light on the background.
