From the most beautiful light, to surprises on the dance floor, the wedding was blessed!

Last Friday saw me down at the stunning Tickton Grange for Matt & Grace’s perfect day. Graced the football pitch with Matt a fair bit over the years and it was a pleasure to capture his and Grace’s special day.

Thankfully the midweek heatwave departed to leave the most stunning light for these two. We all wish for nice weather but we are British… not too hot!

Fast forward to the dancefloor, where Matt had no idea Grace had booked a sax player. “Eh, we haven’t paid for that” solidified the fact the surprise was kept! Safe to say it went down very well!

Proper decent day and lovely to see some old faces!

Bride squad of the year? It’s a strong shout… but yesterday was all about these two.

A stroll through Hull’s Old Town brought the sunshine, but the bridal squad brought absolute chaos (the best kind). Splits, shots, a few happy tears, a few sad ones and even some for dogs? But non-stop bants from start to finish.

Weddings like these are exactly why I love what I do!

Didn’t leave the dance floor until midnight and honestly, worth every second!

A&A

From acting out their first kiss in a school drama class, to doing it for real years later!

These two go way back and yesterday they finally made it official. Proper full-circle moment.

Unreal day at Little Wold Vineyard. Sunshine, great suppliers, plenty of guest banter and a really good vibe from start to finish

Also really good to be home! I grew up in South Cave and used to walk my dog up on those hills before it was even a wedding venue. Those hills were a playground as a kid and a retreat as a big kid. Always lovely to be back there seeing that hillside become special to someone else.

2 in 2 days and this one didn’t disappoint. 2026 is a full on glow! It’s so good to be back and flowing.

Yesterdays beaut couple got married at Manor Rooms. Yet another one of my favourite venues. The most stunning views and a forever welcoming team, not to mention the food 😍

Didn’t stop laughing with these guys and their guests. Such a good bunch and some very interesting topics whilst shooting 👀

WE BACK!

First wedding of the year and what a way to kick it off. It’s always an honour to shoot a wedding but when it’s a mates wedding, it hits a little different. Known Liam for too many years and it was a pleasure to watch him marry his person.

Despite the stop start rain and ropey weather, these guys were amazing. Of course massively helped by Oaklands making everything a dream to shoot.

BUT! We have a wedding first. The legendary vodka came out and no, it wasn’t swallowed 😅

So good to be back and couldn’t think of a better way to kick off the year 💚

CELEBRITY WEDDING!

I was a little star struck when I met up with these guys at pub for our pre wedding chat.

Quickly found out I wasn’t doing ‘s wedding.

But during our chat I quickly learnt two things. Firstly, Emma’s mum is pretty much a wedding planner! Seconely, as much as they both love their cars, Llyod can’t drive for s**t. Literally binned his car into a field on their first date.

Possibly the most laid back couple going I had in 2025. A day of burnouts, wheel cleaning, a broken lens and a Colin!

2026, is it your year?

Might not be your year to wed but it might be your year to plan. Either way, I’ve got one piece of advice for anyone who’s going through this amazing, fun, crazy experience. Booked or not.

Meet Mandrew, aka Mandy and Andy. A couple that define doing things their own way and having the best day. A rainbow themed day, that dress, karaoke hour, a first dance to Pina Colada, alpaca impressions, being told to “get a s**t photo of Rach” and much more. I knew from the off this would be an unreal day and I wasn’t wrong!

The moment you put YOU first, is the moment you enjoy your wedding.

Storm Amy thought she could ruin the party… but that positive Buddhist energy kept that rain away! Not a drop of rain on us and somehow the photos look like we’d bribed the weather gods.

These two were an absolute dream. Gorgeous, personal ceremony at the family home and a little countryside stroll to their marquee where the party started. Dance floor carnage of the best kind. Shoes off, endless energy, a Buddhist and a Salmon. The staple of any dance floor

Such an amazing and welcoming group of guests with this one. Big case of Man Flu at this wedding but the energy and welcome of all family and guests carried me through. Lovely to see some familiar faces as well!

Forget stiff posing. The best version of you, is YOU. Laughing, crying, dancing, tripping over your own dress (yep, I’ve seen it before 😂)

C&I are the PERFECT example. The most amazing, fun couple that left it all out there. Along with a beautiful, personalised ceremony from the wonderful Penny, you could see their day was about celebrating them. And Cheryl Cole.

My job in all this?

Yeah it’s to take photos but it’s so much more than that. It’s allowing you to be present, allowing you to be you and letting you enjoy your day. That’s more important than any photograph or pose. Go out, have fun and love your day.
