With 10 minutes to spare we raided the cereal cupboard and crafted some pinhole viewers. Our house is surrounded by trees but we got a perfect view from our conservatory. It was such a special experience that our boys loved. So lovely that we shared in something that millions around the world were watching.

Some families become familiar faces, and that's one of the things I love most about this job.

I first met Yana, Dan and little August back in 2024, when August was just a baby.
Since then I've had the privilege of photographing their wedding day, two more family sessions, and now this chapter as they prepare to welcome another little one.

Watching families grow, change and come back year after year is something I'll never take for granted.
Thank you for trusting me to document these moments – it really is the greatest privilege.

A few months before these photographs were taken, I received this enquiry:

"I love your photos of just daily life at home."

That's exactly why I love photographing families this way.

When this family got in touch, they were expecting their second baby and wanted photographs that felt real. No awkward posing, no pressure to perform, just their family as they are.

These 20 photographs are a little glimpse into just one hour of their everyday life together, and the message I received afterwards tells me everything I need to know.
