Well, this review made me cry. 🥹

Mostly because they said I’m the “loveliest woman” - and I’ve got that in writing now, so nobody can dispute it! 😂

But also because I absolutely loved Codie & Luke’s wedding.

They were such a brilliant couple to photograph - relaxed, up for anything and clearly just having the best time with their favourite people.

And then there’s this:

“…went that extra mile to make sure the backdrops weren’t basic at all.”

😂 I’m taking that as a compliment.

I spend a lot of time looking at a wedding and thinking, how can I make this photograph even better? So I’m very happy that apparently my obsession with finding a good backdrop and the best light has been noticed. ✨

And the fact that their highlights film made them AND their family cry? 🥹

Right. That’s me done. I’m off for a little emotional lie down.

There are some reviews that make me smile every time I read them… and this is definitely one of them. 🥹✨

I mean… “she got glittered up and danced on the dance floor while still being professional and taking some incredible pictures.” 😂

I’m not entirely sure what that says about my professionalism… but I’m taking the 10/10, no notes!!! 😂

But honestly, this is exactly how I want your wedding photography to feel.

I’ll be there to capture the big moments, the little moments, the happy tears and the ridiculous dance moves - but I also want to feel like part of the fun rather than someone hovering around with a camera.

And yes, occasionally that means leaving the camera down long enough to get glittered up. ✨

A little Friday afternoon wandering, chatting, laughing and taking some photographs before the real excitement begins…

I don’t share engagement shoots nearly enough, but I absolutely loved this one. Katie and Phil are getting married at Langar Hall in just a couple of weeks, so it was really lovely to spend some time together at the venue before their wedding day.

And this message landed in my inbox afterwards, which honestly made my day:

“We loved meeting you and had lots of fun walking, snapping and chatting on Friday. So pleased you will be part of our day.”

This is exactly why I love engagement shoots. They’re not just about getting some beautiful photographs together before the wedding. They’re a chance for us to get to know each other, for you to get comfortable in front of my camera, and for you to see how I work - so when the wedding day arrives, having me there feels completely natural.

And, because I think they’re such a lovely part of the experience, I now include a complimentary engagement shoot with my full-day wedding photography package when the 50% booking payment is made upfront.
