If you are currently planning your wedding day, here is your gentle reminder; there are no rules! Want to arrive on a giant John Deere tractor for the first-look as a couple? Why not. Want a personal humanist wedding celebrant Nottingham couples rave about to tailor your vows? Go for it. J+H wanted a day that was completely them, with guests flying in from Australia, Canada, and all over the globe to celebrate 🌍

When you focus on making the day personal rather than traditional, the emotions flow naturally. As a Langar Hall wedding photographer, I adore this historic boutique hotel. It’s a tranquil, wonderfully secluded retreat with extensive grounds and woodland to explore (keep an eye out for Part 2 from this day to see natural couple portraits amongst the greenery) 🌿

As I left J+H that evening, they told me all about their plans to continue travelling around Canada in their van for their honeymoon - that really is the life!

I was back at Hazel Gap Barn for Soph & Luke’s April wedding. I’m particularly obsessed with the portraits we caught as the light started to dip behind the barn! That soft, evening glow is always worth the wait ✨

The bluebells were out in the woodland too, which provided a stunning, natural backdrop for some quiet moments away from the party. For me, I love exploring the different backdrops of your venue for a natural set of portraits that feel like 'you'.

Inspo details for ✨ I love taking a moment to record the smaller details - the way the floral arrangements from sat against the rustic textures of the barn and the simple, elegant layout of the Oak Room.

For me, these detail shots are just as important as the big moments. They set the scene and help you remember the atmosphere you worked so hard to create.

If you’re planning your day at Hazel Gap, I’ve spent so much time in these spaces that I know exactly where the light falls to make your styling look its best.

Swipe for some floral and venue inspiration for your own barn wedding!

Lauren and Grant's spring wedding at Kelham House Country Manor 🌱

The day was full of spring colour; soft sage greens, bright daffodils, and those iconic bluebells peeking through the woodland. It was a crisp, windy day, but that only added more life and energy to the photos!

A cute highlight was having their dog, Lunar, there for the celebrations. I always value it when couples include their pets.

As a Nottingham wedding photographer, I love finding quiet moments in nature. The woodland at Kelham offered an escape from the wind for some relaxed portraits. Woodland wedding photography in the spring is always a favourite of mine; the light through the new leaves is just beautiful.

Thank you to Lauren, Grant, and the lovely Lunar for having me 📸

Morning details 💫 There's a special energy of a wedding morning. It’s that lovely mix of quiet nerves, a bit of bubbly, and those last few calm moments before everything kicks off.

I love being there to catch these early bits. Whether I’m tucked away in the light-filled rooms of your venue, or the cosy spaces of your family home, it's an important part of the story to capture. These photos are about more than just getting ready; they’re a record of those final minutes before you head down the aisle.

My aim is to keep things relaxed so I can snap those stunning, fleeting moments while you just enjoy the start of your day.

What a way to kick off the spring season. My second wedding of 2026 was an incredible day; it’s rather special capturing a wedding at Belvoir Castle, but this one was extra personal. Katrina actually works at the castle, so capturing her walk through those familiar, grand halls as a bride was a moment. We had the most stunning spring sunshine for their ceremony in the Chapel, followed by drinks in the gardens.

After drinking plenty of fizz in the castle gardens, everyone headed over to The Duck at Woolsthorpe. It was the ideal contrast - relaxed, full of laughter, and tucked away in the gorgeous Leicestershire countryside with spring theme decor. Look out for the

I loved documenting those smiles and the genuine feel of this day!

E+M’s spring day at 🌼 The 2026 wedding season is a-go! It’s always a joy to get back to shooting after the slow winter. I shot this wedding on 35mm analogue film too, can’t wait to get the scans back 🎞️ SO many lovely weddings coming up, with an especially busy April.

Wedding season is officially a-go, so it felt like the perfect time to say hello! I’ve recently chopped off my long locks, which meant a much-needed profile update was in order too.

For those of you who are new here, I’m Charlotte 👋🏻 I’ve been photographing weddings for over a decade, rooted in a background in Fine Art Photography. I’m a Nottingham wedding photographer at heart, but when I’m not behind the lens, I’m usually seeking out inspiration elsewhere 🌿 You’ll often find me hiking in the Peaks, tucked into a fictional novel, or finding my flow on a yoga mat. I love following my curiosity; whether that’s wandering through new cities, getting lost in art galleries and museums, or simply enjoying quiet downtime with my nearest and dearest.

At weddings, I am always observing, responding, and creating.
My style is documentary wedding photography with an editorial edge. Less posing, more composing - I want to capture you in the most natural way possible, whilst creating a beautiful set of photos that capture your day in the way you want to remember it. I shoot a mix of digital and analogue film; adding film to your gallery brings a tactile, nostalgic quality.

I truly value how important the ritual of a wedding is and it’s a privilege to record these stories for a living. I am so incredibly excited to get started this year, to meet all of my 2026 couples, and to capture the unique energy of each and every story.

📩 Take a look through my recent work and if my wedding photography style resonates with you, I’d love to chat. Pop me a DM!

Honestly, where did 2025 go? It has been such a wonderful year documenting weddings across Nottingham and beyond. Thank you SO much to all of the couples that booked me, the people that recommended me, and to the wonderful people I met along the way.

As a Nottingham wedding photographer, I feel so lucky to do this for a living. I have just published my "Best of 2025" blog post, where I reflect on a year of gorgeous celebrations, from urban city weddings to relaxed countryside marquee days.

I have also written about my recent shift into analogue film photography, which has been such a fun addition to my documentary and editorial approach.
