I’m not claiming to be an AI expert, but over the last year, I’ve been exploring how AI can support real commercial photography and content creation for food brands.

I’ve been testing these tools inside actual creative workflows rather than simply experimenting for fun.

The process has taught me a lot.

The most overlooked photo of the night.

I recently had the chance to photograph a Spring Supper Club with chef in collaboration with and her Chiswick House Kitchen Garden team in support of The Burnt Chef Project 🖤

Abbie is one of London’s exciting rising chefs, recently competing on Great British Menu 2026 and most recently helping open Teal by Sally Abe , the new restaurant led by Sally Abe. She also won the award for Rising Star at the National Restaurant Awards 2025.

Everyone focuses on the obvious shots — the food, the details, the atmosphere.

But one of the most valuable photos of the night is often the one people forget:

The team photo.

A single image of the chefs, organisers, volunteers, collaborators and everyone behind the event.

These often become some of the most useful images after the event for PR, press coverage and future sponsorship opportunities.

When photographing snacks, I always focus on three things:
1. Texture → Can people almost feel the crunch?
2. Colour → Does the product feel fresh, vibrant and full of flavour?
3. Energy → Snack brands need personality. The visuals should feel bold, playful and instantly engaging.

Small details completely change how premium and desirable a product feels.
