Review for Kaushik Bathia Photography
Kaushik may be my husband’s childhood friend, but let me be clear I’m not writing this as a favour or because of any personal bias. In fact, I’ve only recently gotten to know him, and this review is purely based on how amazing he is at what he does.
Kaushik is incredibly talented, artistic, and truly gifted with a photographer’s vision. He knows exactly what he wants each frame to look like and how to get the best out of his subjects. Honestly, there were moments during the shoot when I’d wonder, “What is he making me do?” – but when I saw the final shots, I was blown away. Every image looked beautiful, intentional, and natural.
He did our pre-wedding shoot at Holland Park, and it was dreamy. He also created a stunning wedding signing book and a large photo frame for our home, which we proudly displayed on our wedding day a perfect blend of creativity and sentiment.
Now, I must confess I’m not photogenic at all. My photos rarely do justice to how I look in real life. I also struggle with posing and smiling naturally. Think Chandler Bing from Friends that’s me in front of a camera! But Kaushik changed that. With his brilliant sense of humour and boundless energy, he kept me laughing, relaxed, and genuinely smiling throughout. For the first time, I looked at my own photos and felt beautiful and confident.
Kaushik also brought along his videography team Prashant and Parin – to cover all two days of our wedding events: Mandvo, Haldi, Mehendi, and the main ceremony. Let me just say they were outstanding. Extremely professional, artistic, and full of vision. Some of the shots they planned looked straight out of a Bollywood movie. They made us look so stunning that even our relatives joked we looked like a “hero and heroine” on screen! They were so patient and kind, happily retaking shots when I requested, without ever making me feel rushed. Truly hardworking and humble people who know their craft so well.
During the wedding, Kaushik didn’t just focus on us he was everywhere, capturing moments of our families, friends, and all the emotion in the air. In group photos too, where people usually don’t know where to look or how to smile, he made sure everyone was smiling, laughing, and looking their best. Every image looks effortless, joyful, and full of life.
Kaushik is not only an exceptional photographer but also an incredible person. Through this experience, I’ve found a new friend in him someone I now deeply trust with capturing our most precious memories.
Thank you, Kaushik, for documenting the most important day of my life so beautifully, and for making me fall in love with myself a little more. I’ll definitely be coming back to you for all our future occasions!
