Do you ever look back and think… gosh, I’ve actually come a long way! ❤️

It’s so easy to get caught up in what’s next, what we haven’t achieved yet and where we think we should be.

But sometimes you need to remind yourself how far you’ve already come.

I’ve learnt that you don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to keep showing up, keep learning and keep giving things a go.

And if you’re building your own business, maybe it’s time for some new headshots that reflect just how far you’ve come!

And enjoy yourself along the way!

Because imagine what could happen if you just kept going. ✨

Today a client sent me the loveliest message. ❤️

“I still look at your photos on our shelves every day.”

I honestly don’t think there’s a bigger compliment as a photographer.

These photos were taken back in 2013 (and I think the black and white ones were even earlier! 🥹). Over a decade ago!!

It’s funny to think that something I photographed all those years ago is still part of someone’s home and everyday life.

That’s what I love most about photography. Long after the session is over and the children have grown, those moments are still there, quietly telling a family’s story.

Now you’ve got me thinking… do you have photographs in your home that make you smile every time you walk past them?

a quick iPhone photo…
or nothing at all.

Not because they don’t care 🤍

but because they don’t know where to start.

And so they wait…

But you don’t need to have it all figured out.

You just need to show up as you are.
