I still can't quite believe how beautiful this year's lavender mini sessions were.The sunshine was hot, the colours were bright!

Mini sessions have a way of capturing so much in such a short time. Twenty minutes is all it takes when children are free to play, parents stop worrying about perfection, and everyone is simply together.

If you missed the lavender fields this year, don't worry.

I'm already planning my next outdoor mini sessions for autumn, when the leaves turn gold, the light becomes beautifully soft, and the woods are full of colour. It's one of my favourite seasons for family photography, especially for children who love to explore and climb.

This summer I've made myself a little bucket list.
Not a list of big achievements or places I have to tick off.
Just small moments that make me feel more connected to the outdoors.
A sunrise beach walk, although if I'm honest, sunset is far more likely.
Swimming somewhere I've never swum before.
Spending more time watching wildlife and seeing what turns up when I slow down.
Discovering a few new places that might one day become beautiful locations for family photo sessions.
One of the things I love most about being a family photographer is that my work takes me outdoors. Every woodland, beach, meadow and hidden corner I discover becomes another place where a family can make memories together.
I'm a family photographer based in Ruislip, West London, and I bring the photography to you. That might be your favourite local park, a woodland you've visited for years, or somewhere completely new that becomes part of your family's story.

Calling all summer babies!

The first few weeks pass in a blur of feeds, cuddles and very little sleep.

Before those tiny fingers, milk-drunk smiles and newborn stretches become memories, let's capture them naturally. No need for props, just hold baby and be yourselves. Baby can dress up or come in their birthday suit!

I've heard every one of these before a family photo session.
The funny thing is, they're usually the very reasons families think they should put off booking their photos. Yet they almost never stop us creating images they love.
Children don't need to stand still. They need space to explore, climb, run, cuddle and be themselves.
Parents don't need to look perfect. Your children won't remember whether your hair stayed in place. They'll remember how you laughed together.
And dads who say they don't enjoy having their photo taken are often surprised by how relaxed the session feels. There are no awkward poses or forced smiles. Just time together as a family.
As a family photographer based in Ruislip, West London, I bring the photography to you. Whether that's your favourite woodland, local park, lavender fields or another place your family loves, we build the session around your family rather than expecting your family to fit around the photography.

Have your kids summer holidays started? Ours start NOW!
Summer as a family photographer often looks like this.
Clocked in, I'm chasing toddlers through lavender fields, lying on woodland floors to find the best angle, and running alongside families to capture those real moments that disappear in a heartbeat.
Clocked out, I'm usually still outside. Camping under dark skies, swimming in the sea, exploring beneath the waves, or making memories with my own family.
I think that's why outdoor family photography feels so natural to me. I don't just photograph families enjoying adventures together, I genuinely love living them too. The places where families laugh, explore and slow down are the places where I feel most at home.
