Family vacation shoots on the Isle of Skye are probably my favourites. My approach is to have some fun, a small adventure and to see what happens! Working with children means you never know what will happen, but I always leave with a smile on my face.

Summer evenings have arrived at last in the Isle of Skye. This made for a gorgeous evening for a vacation shoot to celebrate a new addition to the family!

Road closures and weather were against B&T but we got there in the end! Not what was planned as The Misty Isle was hiding much of her glory but the romance was there for sure!

A beautiful couple of days for A,E and G. Things didn’t go to plan when the boat to Loch Coruisk couldn’t sail but we more than made up for it with a tiny wedding at Elgol, crashing waves on the rocks and then a boat trip today to see Loch Coruisk.

There are still bluebells all over Skye and Lochalsh, my favourite of all wild flowers! Fans of the misty and romantic pictures won’t be disappointed as the weather is pretty rubbish for May/June, but there are smiles and moody skies to enjoy.
I am not taking as many bookings this year as I have previously, trying to concentrate on a better work-life balance and I have been taking one full week a month off to get away and explore some of Scotland amid the north of England. I am still taking the odd booking for October onwards, when the weather is usually back to misty and romantic, so if that’s your thing, do get in touch!
