10 years ago we were sailing to Loch Coruisk on a blissfully warm late autumn day. Kait and Mike took jumping into marriage to extremes at the end of their day (and while safely anchored). These images have taken me back to all the feelings of that afternoon and the fondest memories of Sonja ❤️

What makes photographing weddings and elopements on the Isle of Skye the best thing since a newly baked scone? The scenery, the history, the wildlife? Blah blah blah. It’s the people . The couples I get to meet and work with and the amazing Skye wedding suppliers who look after us all.

Yesterday M & B rolled with the highs and lows of Skye weather . Having travelled here with their besties nothing could stop them having the most amazing time . From wild winds and lashing rain, to the soothing and warm luxury of their hotel, to finishing the day on cliff tops shrieking in delight at the play of the light across the landscape they embodied joy and a zest for living in the moment that was truly infectious ❤️

A huge thanks to the Flodigarry Hotel for providing shelter from the storm for their vow exchange, warm smiles and a bundle of fluffy towels to dry off without batting an eyelid. Skye hospitality at its absolute finest

On a glorious summer Skye day A & M tied in the know below the majestically moody and misty cliffs of the Quiraing, Isle of Skye. An elopement day for just the two of them soon to be followed by a party for family and friends back home. We all agreed that by then they will have warmed up and had time to clean the peat from the dress. Weather on Skye doesn’t always play fair on your wedding day but it doesn’t dampen the joy.
