… there is no ‘best age’ for a newborn shoot especially when I am photographing them 🤍

My style is solely baby led so baby controls what we do, when and how. Therefore we can capture beautiful moments of them regardless of their age. If they are awake, asleep, feeding, needing a cuddle - we go with the flow and capture the moments as they happen. After all we are aiming for authentic photographs you’ll treasure forever.

A baby is classed as a newborn for up to 6 weeks so ideally within that timeframe is perfect however whatever age baby is we will capture beautiful, perfect moments of them exactly as they are.

On a personal note I find the first 3 weeks of life to be the sleepiest and somewhat easiest time to pose and capture for most families - however some 6 week olds sleep and pose even better than 2 week olds 😅

So the point is don’t be put off if you think you missed the “newborn window” because you’ll only wish you had got in touch 🤍

It’s hard right? Deciding whether to have another baby?

All the questions you go over and over in your head asking yourself “what if they feel left out or pushed aside?” “What if I don’t love them the same as my first?” “What if we can’t handle the additional chaos?” So many scary but normal questions.

But what if - “they are the missing piece to the puzzle?” “What if they become the bestest friends and it’s the best thing you could have given them?” “What if your heart just doubles in size and you get to experience it all over again?”

I meet so many families coming back with there second, third, fourth babies and one thing I always, ALWAYS see is pure love and curiosity, new bonds and little surprise moments.

I came across something this week that really resonated with me... It said, “The only people on this earth are mothers and their children.” I find that incredibly empowering! I'm constantly in awe of the strength and capabilities of women, especially during these challenging times many of us woman face. As a photographer, I've had the privilege of witnessing the miracle of life for 14 years, and it still amazes me how a baby grows inside a woman's body. It's truly magical! And speaking of magic, how stunning is Jessica? Little Thomas arrived safely, and I was thrilled to meet him and his big brother last month 🤍

Look at the difference ✨ Leo’s ‘Watch Me Grow’ was wonderful.

Firstly this family are just the nicest people. Instantly we all clicked which really helped everyone relax meaning we got the best out of everyone at the each shoot. I’ve got a wee soft spot for this happy wee guy - he stole my heart a little. The change in him at every photoshoot is wild. This is why the watch me grow package is a great investment . 🤍
