Hello Everyone! It’s update time!

So here’s where I’m at, I’m still photographing weddings, elopements and portraits and so excited to have some glorious bookings in for later this year and next! but for the next few months things are slowing down to make way for something new.

Photography is my passion and always will be but it has been my main focus in business for over 14yrs now and I’m feeling the need for space and time to reignite some of the fire. I adore what I do which is why I need to honour this desire for space to create.

So what now? Well here’s the exciting bit, stick with me

Some of you may know I’ve been on bit of a journey, late 2022 after holding it together as best I could I finally admitted I needed help. The pressures post covid (insert long explanation of how insane this period of time was) layered on with pregnancy and (joyfully) my baby girl Aila who arrived in May 2022. By late 2022 I was exhausted to my bones, emotionally and physically I had nothing left, I was so behind on work and no idea how to move forward.

Everything changed with 1 call.

That call was with my coach, in just one hour I had a plan, a renewed sense of self, unlocked some deep desires and connected to the most powerful version of myself. Everything felt possible.

Slowly but surely I recovered, it took time, a lot of support, patience and love but I can hand on heart say I am not that person anymore, I didn’t get back to the person I was before, I came back to myself, a new version of me.

None of this would have been possible without the consistent support, guidance and wisdom I’ve received from and the Joy movement community.

I want to be able to take this magic to others which is why I’m in training to become a transformational coach.

I want to empower other photographers and creative business owners find balance in their lives, re-ignite their passions and connect to what’s possible.

This isn’t so far from what I’ve been doing all along, I’ve always seen the beauty and power in people and reflected that beauty & power back to them through photography.

Now I get to coach - I’m so excited 😆❤️

Hello 2024 👋

There’s been a few changes round here so I thought it was time for a little update.

Photography has been my passion for so long and will continue to be but lately I’ve been feeling the pull towards something else, something new.

For a long time I’ve always known I’ve wanted to help other people soar, to channel the best and most powerful version of themselves. What I didn’t realise is that I needed this so badly myself.

Coaching has transformed my life, I am calmer, less stressed, I don’t function on adrenaline, I set loving boundaries and have learned how to love my body and my full self exactly as I am.

Which is why I’m currently in training to become a transformational coach. I’ve been coaching clients already and absolutely loving every minute and cannot wait to see what gets to emerge.

So, I’m at a bit of a crossroads. I’m still doing (and loving) photographing people but moving forward I’m hoping photography will take more of a back seat and I can fully step into coaching & mentoring.

Konatsu & Ross

The most beautiful way to start the year photographing this gorgeous wee wedding at ✨

Altskeith is one of my local venues here in the trossachs, and has the most beautiful setting by Loch Ard. The view over the water and beyond to Ben Lomond never fails to take my breath away, and Konatsu and Ross’s wedding day was no exception.

As I arrived the fog was so thick the road looked like it dropped off the end of the earth. It lifted to reveal the most stunning first day of January, the mist lingering in the trees reflected in the calm waters and the light was 👌 perfect for showing off the trossachs countryside to their wedding guests.

It was such an honour to capture these moments for you Konatsu and Ross, thank you for asking me to be a part of your day x

I could have photographed beautiful Emily all day long, but as with most wedding days you get a short window to whip out the magic ✨

Shots like these don’t happen on their own, but they also don’t require much from the client. I spent time in the morning moving things out the way, turning off lights, opening and closing curtains till I could see the pockets of light emerging.

I waited patiently for a moment with Emily before her ceremony for some quiet portraits in the space I’d prepared, I could quickly and quietly take these shots in a few minutes because of the preparation I’d made.

There’s a lot of magic in watching and waiting for moments to unfold, in fact I’m known for my quiet, relaxed approach with my couples. However the magic doesn’t happen by itself, it requires some preparation, planning and trust to get right.
