As we turn the page… 🤍
Dear July,
I was so happy to see you again.
Every year I wait for you with quiet anticipation, and somehow you always arrive with exactly what my heart has been longing for.
You filled the garden with colour, the greenhouse with promise, and the kitchen with bowls overflowing with everything the season had quietly been growing.
You reminded me that happiness is often found in the smallest moments. Watching the chickens constantly roam from morning until dusk, basking in the sunshine and dry mud. Picking flowers simply because they were there. Sitting a little longer over a morning coffee. Realising that ordinary days often become the ones we remember most.
And then, as if you hadn’t already given enough, you carried me somewhere completely different.
To towering red rocks, endless blue skies and sunrises so beautiful they made the world feel still for a moment. You reminded me that wonder can be found just as easily thousands of miles from home as it can at the end of the garden path.
And as you drew to a close, I realised the greatest gift you gave me wasn’t the places or the views.
It was the gentle reminder to notice them.
Thank you for another beautiful July.
I’ll be waiting for you again next year.
Love,
Gill 🤍
