Last weekend marked our fourth in-person Guild PhotoHubs and Awards weekend, and it was a wonderful celebration from start to finish.
The weekend began with an incredible day of UKPPA live print judging, with so many beautiful images to admire. This was followed by a full day of talks, including a brilliant presentation by Jayne Bond at Studio Mlino on photographing nature in her favourite habitat, the graveyard, Gemma Sains, who delivered a great talk and practical demonstration on having fun with macro; and my own talk on Creating Urban Composites.
Awards night was a little different for me this year, as over the past year I’ve been part of the X-celerate programme, training to become a judge, which meant I wasn’t entering IOM. As a result, it was a lovely stress-free evening spent celebrating the incredible talent in the room ☺️
The cherry on the cake was being invited to join the Guild of Photographers judging panel, the start of an exciting new phase this year!
With thanks to Gary Hill for the images from a 'proper' camera ☺️
