There's something magical about photographing a family in a place that already means so much to them.🤍

I had the loveliest family session out on this gorgeous wee families farm, and it was honestly such a dream to photograph.

These are always some of my favourite photographs, no stiff poses, just family being family. The candid ones where everyone forgets about the camera for a second and you get to capture what their family actually feels like.

Give me a field, some gorgeous evening light and a family being completely themselves and I'm happy. 🤍

Daisy is ONE!

Something I loved about this session was that Daisy's mum said she thought she would be a beige lover and dress her in all beige clothes when she came along.

Fast forward and Daisy is in pastels and lots of pink, pink, pink!

Made me laugh because I know I will be the exact same way! My photography is slowly shifting from white to lots of colour.

And honestly, I am so glad we went with this pastel DaisyLand theme because I just love how much magic it brought to this session.✨

NEWBORN SESSION FAQ 🤍

A few of the questions I get asked most about newborn sessions…

What if my baby doesn’t sleep?
Then we take the sweetest little wide awake shots! We have plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and settling, during these moments they’re likely to drift off naturally. And honestly, those little wide-awake photos can be just as gorgeous.

What if my baby cries?
They probably will at some point, they’re babies and it’s how they communicate! Don’t worry when this happens, we stop, we settle and comfort.

Do I need to bring outfits or props?
Nope! I have wraps, outfits, blankets, props and everything we need here at the studio. Of course, if you have something sentimental you’d love included, bring it along.

Can siblings be included?
Absolutely! Sibling and family photographs are included in your main newborn package and are actually some of my favourites to capture.

What if my baby is older than two weeks?
You have NOT missed your chance! Those first couple of weeks are ideal for the really sleepy, curled-up poses, but I photograph newborns up to around 12 weeks old.

What if we need to feed/change baby during the session?
Then we feed or change them! There’s absolutely no rush. My newborn sessions are super relaxed and your session works around your baby and their needs.

Cake smashes are always so much fun because you genuinely never know how they’re going to react!

Some little ones see that cake and dive straight in.. hands, face, feet… absolutely no hesitation, like Harrison. 😂

Others are a little more suspicious and need some time to warm up to it. Sometimes we need a few cuddles, a little taste from mum or dad, or one of the few wee tricks I’ve picked up along the way to get them interested.

And honestly, I love both! There’s never any pressure for your little one to perform or sit perfectly and eat the cake. We go completely at their pace, let them explore, make a mess and capture all those little reactions along the way.

These photos are about capturing the memories of the day and regardless of how your cake smash goes.. it’ll be something you’ll laugh at years down the line. 🤍

One of the things I love the most about newborn sessions is the family photos.🤍

Especially when it's a family who have never had a photoshoot before, or mum and dad are a wee bit nervous about being in front of the camera. I love getting you comfortable, chatting away and capturing those gorgeous little in-between moments, the laughs, the looks at each other, all the bits that don't feel posed but end up being the ones you frame.

Sometimes parents come in telling me they just want photos of baby, no family pics! And I'll always suggest taking some "just to fill the gallery"

And do you know what?

I don't think I've ever had a family not choose those photos from the proofs.

These photos are for you! Not for anyone else. 🤍
