Night of the Lyrids (22.04.2026) over Loch Finlas. Two meteors captured during the 2-minute exposure - my new record! Lovely air glow and no mist this time, lucky me :-)

Nothing spectacular 😉 Just a tranquil late afternoon at Loch Finlas, leading to a quite successful night shoot. Another image coming soon!

Some snaps of Ailsa Craig and the Holy Isle with Arran taken last Sunday from Maidens beach. What a lovely place (and the day) for a walk.

The working forest wakes up... The second morning of astronomical spring (21.03.2026) in the Loch Bradan area. After spending some hours shooting the Milky Way, I was able to stay for the sunrise - a rare treat, as I usually rush back home to make it to work in the morning. It was crisp and very moody, with the low, glowing mist all around. I wish I culd do this kind of thing more often.
