It’s been a minute since I last posted… and the last time, this team was heading to the finals and came up just short.

This time? They went one step further. 🏆

The WestEnd Bruins U18 AA showed up, worked hard, and took home the championship at the 33rd Annual Robins Tournament. A clutch penalty shot stopped by Van Dyk, family and friends bringing the energy in the stands, and a team that earned every second of this win.

Huge shoutout to the organizers, refs, and timekeepers of the Robins Tournament—one of Canada’s largest minor hockey tournaments, right here in our home town.

Champions. Well deserved. 💙🖤

After a strong showing in today’s semifinal, the Bruins have secured their spot in the Westfort Ice Breaker U18AA Championship game — facing off once again against the Hurricanes.

🔥 This marks the 4th straight year these two teams have met in the finals, promising another intense matchup!

Switching gears to hockey 🏒📸

This weekend kicks off the Westfort IceBreaker, and the U18AA division proudly plays for the Joel Ritchie Memorial Championship — a tribute to a player, coach, and leader who left a lasting mark on this tournament, the community and WestEnd Bruins organization.

A little personal connection to this team as my son wears #10 for the Bruins this year…I had the chance to sit and speak with Joel’s mom today — a meaningful moment, as our families go way back to our Lakeshore Drive days. Seeing her and Joel’s dad proudly wearing Bruins sweaters in his memory was something special.

No matter how the tournament ends, I’m grateful my son gets to be part of this team and Joel’s lasting legacy. 💙🤍🖤

So grateful for this crew 🧡

I got to photograph one of my favourite families (and my amazing friend + photography partner) for a little Thanksgiving shoot, and the sunshine, leaves, and wind all showed up perfectly for us 🍂

We even made sure Mom got her moment in the spotlight — she works so hard and absolutely deserves it. Love these four — from summer memories to windy fall curls, this session has a special place in my heart ❤️

Yesterday in Oshawa, The Chill came out strong with a 4-0 win in the Ontario Cup U16 semi-finals! 💙⚽️

Next stop: The finals on September 13th in Vaughan.

I’ve been on the sidelines all summer, camera in hand, catching the big plays, the emotions, and the moments that make this team so special. Yes, my son is out there, but it’s been just as meaningful to capture every player’s journey.
