There’s nothing quite like watching your friend marry their best friend. ☺️

Samantha and I have been friends for years, and I still remember taking the first photo of her and Ryan together. Photographing their wedding was a full-circle moment. It was an honor to capture the way they laughed so easily together, the small glances that said more than words, and the little in-between moments that made their wedding feel perfectly them!

Ten years together, and just a few days married!

There were plenty of jokes about this wedding being a long time coming, but what stood out to me wasn’t just their deep love and friendship—it was the connection they’ve built with their family and friends over the years.
That sense of community is one of my favourite things to witness at a wedding. It comes through in the little interactions, the heartfelt speeches, and the way everyone shows up for the couple.

This day was full of emotion and happy tears, and I’m so grateful to have been part of it.

This was one of those intimate, fun, and memorable moments that reminded me why I love weddings so much. I started photographing weddings when my friends began getting married in 2020, back when guest lists were capped at around 50 people. It felt less like a formal event and more like an extended dinner party with just your closest family and friends. The kind of gathering where mutual friends go from strangers to real friends by the end of the night. And when the dance floor opened, everyone was all in, dancing their hearts out without a care in the world.

There’s something about the ceremony that always gets me. It’s the excited nervousness, while everything softens. And it’s quiet in the best way.

At Gio and DG’s wedding, it felt particularly sweet. Their friend officiated and spoke with the kind of care that only comes from truly knowing someone. The words were so intentional, it made the whole ceremony feel even more personal. Their vows were honest and emotional — the kind that had everyone quietly wiping their eyes.

And then there were the little things. The wind. The soft string music. Birds chirping as she walked down the aisle. It felt like the world slowed down for just a moment.

Weddings aren’t just milestones. They’re full of these quiet, powerful moments that stay with you long after the day ends. Or at least, they do for me 🥹
