What an amazing opportunity this afternoon playing with Holiday Slides. A group of trombonists from all over the GVA and beyond. There were about 40 tenors and bass trombones in total. Cool part was getting to play with some pros like Andrew Poirier (2nd chair VSO). Sight read the music once and played for the audience the second time. I definitely made some mistakes here and there but I also learned a lot!! Fun. Maybe next year I’ll go bass trombone. Thank you for hosting us and to Holiday Slides 2025.

A couple of teasers of The Abominable Show Band group I play in. I jazzed up the studio with some gelled lights to create a vibrant retro scene which I felt fit perfectly with the type of music played - all 70-80s goodness!! Small space and dingy walls need some lighting love. This was a sectional practice so no horns. Full band shots coming soon. Stay tuned.

Found a little bit of the Ganaraska and Durham Tract Forest from southern Ontario today in Whitehorse. Visited the MacBride Yukon Museum in the afternoon. Fun day, feet tired now.
