I recently got to photograph a mom with her two teenage kids, and let me tell you, it's a very different vibe than the giggly toddler chaos.

There are eye rolls, and awkward silences, and at times a general desire to escape. And there are also genuine smiles and connection, and a clear love and care for one another. I am glad I got to document them at this point in their life, because we all remember being teenagers, and it's not for the faint of heart.

When I had my second son, there was a period where I felt more distant from my first. I think it's inevitable as you get wrapped up caring for a newborn who needs you so constantly. But I know now that it's only temporary. That bond will always be there.
