A month without Jackson 💔

Somehow a month without him feels longer than the almost 18 years he was here. And yet his loss feels like yesterday at the same time. Despite the pain of saying goodbye, I’d choose him over and over again.

Thanks for being the best Jackson, I know you are with us watching over us and the girls ❤️‍🩹

Franey and I attended the Halifax Kennel Club’s CKC Scent Detection trial yesterday. We were only entered in the Instinct test, just to get a feel for how a Scent Detection trial would go. Jackson and I had done fun matches, but this was my first real trial.

Franey earned her Scent Detection Instinct (SDIN) title, which means she has now earned her Versatility Novice title (pending CKC approval).

We had a great time and are looking forward to playing more scent games soon!

I love getting new dog gear, but don’t let not having the “right” gear stop you from getting out on a camping trip with your dog. For front country or car camping you likely have everything you need to have a successful trip.
