I am jumping ahead on my on this day in history!
Tomorrow morning on this day…. One of my favourite places to be during northwesterly gale force winds… nothing will humble you more than standing on a pier while mister waves crash into it and you’re tucking a camera away from the spray, it is one of the most invigorating places to stand and brace..
on this day the winds were a bit confused and instead of the wall I snapped the waves off the end off the pier as they smashed into each other and raced to see which side would spray the highest, it may not be port Stanley but it’s a local place of humble practice for me.
I do not recommend it for most (please understand I’m seasoned and I have had mishaps myself) but if you know how to position yourself to not get washed away and don’t mind drying your gear 🙂 - it’s a cheap thrill!

On this day in history I almost missed an entire show because I slept right through it - almost! Until the full northern moon came up over Lake Superiors hidden little gem of a beach the smells and sights captivated our hearts.
Northern nights are like no other if you close your eyes and take in the musky scents of cedar and warm rock, it’s just something I’d like to bottle.
