I have not posted on here for ages. So many things to keep up with in life. Here is a tree swallow ... with an elongated tail due to the shadow. The sun was hitting at a perfect angle to make the shadow!

I had a couple of days to try out Impressionism on one of my photos again. The original will be in the comments. The background was so distracting and close to the flowers so I was unable to soften it in camera, but by using this technique I was able to put it into the background. I did so many variations that I am unsure which one I prefer. haha Which one is your favourite? (You have to click on the photo to see the entire pic.) Either make a comment on the individual pic or state the number of flowers in the photo. I appreciate the input.

I am learning a new technique of doing impressionist painting on my photos. I loved this blue poppy and the composition but the background had some orangish reddish in it and it was very distracting. Nothing that I tried worked as a regular photo so I attempted this technique and was able to get rid of the distractions. I will put the original in the comments. I am thinking of adding a verse to this so if anyone has any suggestions of a scripture verse or even words that come to mind when you see it, that would be helpful.

Taken at Butchart Gardens in May. I was happy to get a somewhat artistic shot because I was with non-photographers so trying to be creative and trying to keep up was a challenge.

Having a little fun with ICM (Intentional Camera Movement). With use of a slow shutter speed and a tiny movement you can get some interesting results.

I was today's featured artist for the Holiday Artisan show at the Blyth Festival Art Gallery. I am posting 2 versions of a portion of Inglis Falls near Owen Sound. Neither version is what the eye sees. In this one I used a slow shutter speed (5 sec) and an ND filter to create the milky look. Which version do you prefer?
