Some portraits are created to hold a story.

This image is part of my ongoing Indigenous Portrait Project, a personal documentary project about contemporary Indigenous artists in Alberta.

I am interested in portraits that are quiet, respectful and rooted in conversation.

It is often the image that feels honest, present and true to the person in front of the camera.
