Being a photographer’s child…

Sometimes I wonder if my kids will grow up remembering all these photos as a beautiful part of their childhood… or if they’ll need therapy because their mom turned every cute outfit, birthday, and random Tuesday into a photoshoot.

“Mom, can we just go to the park?”

“Of course! Just stand right there for one second, the light is PERFECT!”

I guess time will tell if I’m creating childhood memories or lifelong trauma. At least they’ll have plenty of evidence to discuss in therapy. 😂❤️

There’s something so special about holding your memories in your hands.

Your newborn won’t stay this little for long, and while your phone may hold thousands of photos, there’s something different about having your favourites printed and beautifully preserved.

Because these moments deserve more than a camera roll.
They deserve to be printed.

“I’m not photogenic.”
“I’m going to feel so awkward.”
“I hate having my photo taken.”
“I don’t know what to do in front of a camera.”

I hear these things all the time before a session.
And then, somehow, by the end, the conversation sounds a little different.

“I didn’t know I could look like that.”
“That was actually so much fun.”
“I felt so comfortable.”
“I love these.”

And honestly? That’s my favourite part of what I do.
You don’t have to know how to pose. You don’t have to be “photogenic.” You don’t have to feel completely comfortable in front of the camera before you arrive.
That’s what I’m there for.

My job isn’t just to take beautiful photos. It’s to create an experience where you can relax, be yourself, and maybe even see yourself a little differently.

Because you deserve to have photos you love and an experience you genuinely enjoy!
