These little spiders are SO tiny- this one around 2mm. So small that at first you’re not sure if it’s a spider or not when you spot one on a leaf.
Very happy to get a shot of its face- these are also a species that doesn’t like to stay still making shots very difficult.

Any guesses to what these are???

Whilst looking around at the a butterfly kept returning to my son’s hair. On closer inspection it was actually laying eggs in his hair!! 😱 That’s right, EGGS! I was so happy to get photos of them and yes, I did consider making Axel not wash his hair until they hatched 😂😂 he on the other hand wasn’t as impressed with the idea.

⭐️ Yellow Hairy Flower Wasp ⭐️

These large, solitary wasps are not aggressive but are considered beneficial insects as they control common lawn pests. They dig into the soil and locate scarab beetle larvae in which they lay their egg.
They are large, ranging in size from 1.7cm-4cm in length.
Adults feed exclusively on nectar making them important pollinators.

Australasian Giant Centipede

What a find!! The Australasian Giant Centipede feeds on insects, snails and worms. It’s nocturnal, hiding in damp, sheltered places during the day and comes out at night to hunt.
Females lay eggs in Summer and Autumn, she will guard the eggs and babies until they have their second moult.
They can give a very painful bite, but no death’s have ever been recorded from one.
