Finally made the trip down the highway to Gympie Speedway last night. It’s been on the bucket list for a while and, now being so close, I figured it was the right time to get down there for the first time.

I very nearly left the camera in the car, but I’m glad I went back and grabbed it during the interval. Even shooting through the fence for the final round of heats and feature races, I still managed to come away with a few shots I’m pretty happy with.

Being the end-of-season event, things will go a little quiet around the speedway scene for the next few months — but I'm already looking forward to October when the wheels will be in motion again.

Finally getting through some shots from Sunday at the Bathurst 6 Hour.

Once again it was an epic weekend. The weather played nice and kept the rain at bay until Monday morning despite the threatening clouds over the course of the weekend.

It wouldn't be Bathurst without a few bent cars at the end of the weekend. Occasionally it can be the price to pay when playing on the big stage unfortunately.

The first cab off the rank was the Saloon Car Nationals Final first thing on Sunday morning. After seeing Brad Vaughan in action at the Victorian State rounds, it wasn't a huge shock to see him take out the final. There was plenty off action into the chase further down the field though. With most Saloon Car races it's often hard to know which way to look.

After the 6 Hour Warm up it was onto the final races of the weekend for the Excels, Aussie Racing Cars and Trans Am before the big race kicked off.

I love endurance racing and the 6 hour was no exception. The many laps involved open up opportunities to experiment and try things I wouldn't normally get the chance to in shorter races. Hopefully that reflects in some of the variety of shots on display.

All in all it was a cracker of a weekend, bring on Easter 2027 already!

Some shots from Day 2 of the 2026 Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour.

The mountain reminded everyone today who’s boss, with a couple of heavy hits up on the hill — when it bites, it bites hard.

On the flip side, a few teams managed to turn things around and shake off those Friday gremlins.

Race day tomorrow with the big dance kicking off at 11:15 AEST — don’t forget to wind the clocks back tonight… you won’t want to miss a second of the action.

It's a good morning for it! 😊

The mountain was in one of those moods today—biting a few, behaving for others. Luckily the weather stayed on our side, and a day watching race cars do race car things on the mountain is never a bad way to spend your a day.
Here’s a few snaps from today’s action on day one of the 2026 Bathurst 6 Hour.

I'll be heading to Bathurst for the 6 hour over the Easter long weekend, so if you think you'll be in the market for some photos, get in touch and I'll be sure to point the camera in your direction.

What a weekend! I guess one way to tell how good the weekend was is by how tired I am on Sunday night... it was an epic weekend and I'm exhausted! Hahaha

Plenty of cool cars doing cool things on track at Calder Park for round 2 of the 2026 Trophy Tour. Here's a small selection of highlights before I call it a night.
