Mr Excited & Friends. Classic Cars WorldWide 🌏 Coffee and Cars at The Manhattan was an absolute cracker of a morning.

The atmosphere was fantastic thanks to Mr Excited and his team, who always know how to put on a great event.
Even the weather seemed keen to join in constantly changing its mind between clouds, rain and sunshine before eventually delivering some clear skies for everyone to enjoy.

As always the meet attracted an impressive variety of vehicles, proving there's something for every automotive enthusiast.

✖️ My standout car of the day was a stunning 1948 lowrider-style Dodge, slammed on the ground. The contrast between the Red body and the crisp white interior was simply perfect. I couldn't stop admiring it.

Great cars, great coffee, great people and thankfully the weather decided to behave just long enough for us to enjoy it all.

Cold mornings at Garfield Coffee & Cars are part of the tradition this time of year but as usual that didn’t stop enthusiasts from bringing their beasts out for a Sunday cruise and even better the rain stayed away.

The morning was filled with people sipping coffees, demolishing egg and bacon rolls and catching up over the shared love of cars.
Add in the usual mixed bag of builds and it made for the perfect laid-back Sunday atmosphere.

✖️ My pick of the day was the [57•SPEC]
A 1957 Coupe, slammed on all fours and looking absolutely killer. A car that turned heads without even trying.

The Old Iron Lion Crew – Victoria Edition hit the road today with a cruise to the Trafalgar Holden Museum before rolling into Warragul for lunch.

There’s just something special about hearing those classic pre-LS Holden engines cruising down the highway. Pure nostalgia that takes you straight back to being a kid watching real Aussie cars fill the roads. No silent electric spaceship noises here, just proper engines doing what they were built to do.

An awesome day shared with even better people, great stories and plenty of classic Holden charm.

Even had the CommodoreMan joining the crew for the day. 🤙🏽

Meguiar's MotorEx, STREET MACHINE - Custom World 2026 was nothing short of epic.

Custom World delivered everything you could want from an elite show display jaw dropping unveil cars, outrageous craftsmanship and builds that looked like they’d been transported straight from another planet. From a tough as nails Japanese S13, to iconic Aussie muscle, right through to an incredibly engineered F-Truck there was something turning heads in every direction.

But it wasn’t just the unveil cars stealing the spotlight. The entire hall was packed wall to wall with high quality builds that catered to every kind of car enthusiast. No matter your taste there was guaranteed to be something that made you stop and stare for a little longer than planned.

And personally, I’ve still got a soft spot for the old school “sex spec” era. It was great seeing a few carefully built cars keeping that scene alive and well. Some trends fade away… others just lower themselves on air suspension and keep cruising.

✖️ Trying to pick a single favourite from Custom World was nearly impossible, but two cars stood out for me.

The first was an insane Nissan S13 featuring a full metal widebody conversion, a 400hp Elite-controlled SR20DET, air suspension, and enough detail throughout the build to keep you discovering new things every lap around it.

My close runner-up was MRVLT, finished in a stunning deep red paint with ghosted flames across the front end and tasteful rose gold accents. Absolute dream car material.

That's MotorEx done and dusted see you next year 🤙🏽

Meguiar's MotorEx Real Street – Sunday

Real Street is where the true passion for cars comes alive and Sunday proved exactly that.

While the rain may have kept a few people tucked away at home polishing their cars for the tenth time the real enthusiasts still rolled through to show off their pride and joys.

As the weather cleared later in the day, so did the excuses and the atmosphere quickly came to life.

What makes Real Street special is that it’s never about who spent the most money or who brought the wildest build. Every car has its own story and personality. From tastefully modified daily drivers to high-end show cars and immaculate stock cruisers, the variety on display was what made the day so enjoyable.

Real Street gives everyone a chance to turn heads and be part of the action.

Whether you arrived in a polished showpiece or something built in the shed with a few late nights, empty wallets, and highly questionable financial decisions there was appreciation from every corner of the crowd.

At the end of the day it’s the people, the passion, and the shared love of cars that keep events like this thriving rain, hail or shine.

Also some extra behind the scenes photos of the Drift Cadets 🤙🏽

Drift Cadets, Portelli World & Performance World at Meguiar’s MotorEx 2026

Drift Cadet’s proved once again that drifting is equal parts skill, bravery and controlled chaos. Even with the rain making conditions sketchy the drivers were throwing cars sideways with unbelievable precision, keeping the crowd’s heart rates pinned high the entire time.

The combination of tight tandem runs, screaming tyres, and exhaust notes bouncing through the venue was enough to raise the hairs on the back of your neck. It’s impossible not to get caught up in the atmosphere.

One thing is certain having drifting as part of MotorEx keeps the event alive and exciting. Static car displays are great but a bit of tyre smoke and controlled mayhem reminds everyone that cars are built to move.

- Portelli World LMCT+ was on another level altogether. Big-dollar machinery, DJs pumping music, drinks flowing, and games everywhere you looked. The entire setup felt more like an exclusive luxury party than part of a car show.

It gave everyone a chance to feel like the rich and famous for a few hours, even if most of us were just mentally calculating how many lifetimes it would take to afford some of the cars on display.

The Two Koenigsegg Jesko's drew massive attention all weekend but my personal favourite had to be the slammed Ferrari sitting perfectly. Sometimes simple styling speaks louder than horsepower figures.

- Performance World was heaven for anyone obsessed with building cars. Packed with major brands from across the automotive industry. This was the place where dream builds start and bank accounts become nervous.

From engines, cams, and superchargers through to detailing gear and accessories there was something for every type of enthusiast.
Whether you’re chasing huge horsepower numbers or just wanting your car cleaner than your kitchen bench this tent had it covered.

Van and 4x4 World at Meguiar's MotorEx 2026 definitely brought a different kind of energy to the show floor.

Big lifts, massive wheels and plenty of flexing were all on display throughout the 4x4 World. From serious off-road machines built to tackle anything Australia can throw at them to some seriously clean touring rigs ready to disappear into the bush for weeks at a time. There was something for every kind of 4WD enthusiast.

It’s always refreshing seeing something different amongst the usual street and performance cars and it definitely delivered plenty of variety.

Van World also showcased some elite builds with everything from incredible artwork and airbrushing to unique one-of-one custom vans that looked almost too good to leave the shed. Whether you’re into retro cruisers or wild custom creations this hall proved van culture is still alive and kicking and possibly louder than ever.

Wow the SuperStars World this year at Meguiar's MotorEx was absolutely off its head. Everywhere you looked was big money, incredible craftsmanship, and attention to detail that left nothing overlooked. These cars were on another level entirely.

I had two clear favourites from the hall.

The first was a stunning blue Ford XC powered by hydrogen. The car was immaculate, and even better, the owner said it gets driven everywhere, rain included.
I love seeing cars enjoyed on the road rather than hidden away under covers.

The blue paint was unbelievably intense and instantly drew you in. While the chrome accents throughout the engine bay and the tubbed chrome wheels made the whole package stand out even more.
The interior was also unforgettable. It featured an FG-style dash that somehow looked like it was always meant to be there. It blended perfectly with a beautiful butterscotch coloured interior.
Absolutely loved this car.

My other favourite was a 1952 Chevrolet Suburban finished in gorgeous two-tone greens. Running a 350 Chev paired with a Turbo 400. This Suburban spent most of its life in America before arriving in Australia in 2020, where it underwent a five year restoration.
A massive congratulations to the owners, The Horkings Family. The end result was something truly special.

If this hall proved anything, it’s that my camera roll is now 95% chrome reflections and tyre shots.

✖️ Stay tuned for more MotorEx albums coming soon.
