Batman signal box, which opened in 1935 to work the interlocked crossing gates on Gaffney Street, as well as a crossover, and the siding for Lincoln Mills knitting works. Originally had a 6 lever A-pattern frame, which was replaced with a 31 level A-pattern frame in 1959 in preparation for Fawkner line duplication.

The Lincoln Mills siding was abolished in 1970 and the crossover was abolished in 1983. The signal box closed on 29 November 1998 when the interlocked gates were abolished and replaced with boom barriers. Since then the windows have been boarded up, but the box still stands in-situ, attached to the station building.

The remains of the Fyansford Cement Works rail yard. The silos have been demolished (which is a shame because the silo art was beautiful) and only the foundations remain. The yard and tracks still remain in situ including a few sets of points. The tracks have been paved over on McCurdy Rd and end shortly after, with the rest of the Fyansford line towards North Geelong converted into a rail trail. Three control boxes to activate the level crossing flashing lights remain but the rest of the level crossing equipment has been removed.

There are signs indicating the land is likely to be developed into more homes soon, so we wanted to check out the remnants while we still can.

Today while getting lunch from Wazzup Falafel's food truck, I stumbled upon the location of SW6 969 behind Retropolis, a vintage clothing store very close to Preston Tram Depot. The food truck was actually plugged into the tram through the window! Unfortunately the area behind the store is not open to customers so I could only get a few photos through the gaps in the fence.

969 was previously was used as "Tram Bar" which was located outside the Art Centre from 2011-15.
